Social Media Marketing Strategy and Execution

Project Description/Goals:

The Spicy Librarian is a romance bookstore located in downtown Denver, Colorado. Mountain Narrative’s was hired to establish a dynamic and engaging marketing strategy that sparked curiosity and attracted a loyal community of romance enthusiasts.

  1. Establish an engaging and consistent social media presence that builds brand awareness and grows the Spicy Librarian community/customer base.

  2. Drive engagement on social media by generating excitement about the Spicy Librarian’s Grand Opening Week.

  3. Identify opportunities for utilizing social media to build leads and new revenue streams for the Spicy Librarian.

Creative Process/Strategy:

  1. Establish a consistent and engaging voice on Instagram for the brand by creating a “Spicy Librarian” character.

  2. Utilizing Grand Opening events and unique elements of the store to generate audience engagement, including:

    1. First 100 customers would receive a free gift at the store

    2. Audience giveaway for new release book, “Onyx Storm” by Rebecca Yarros

    3. Highlighting upcoming events, like book signings and book clubs

    4. Celebrating unique and appealing elements of the bookstore by pairing with trending formats and sounds

  3. Partner with local authors, influencers, and media outlets to amplify the bookstore’s reach and following on Instagram.

Results

As the Social Media Manager and Marketing Consultant for Spicy Librarian, Denver’s only romance bookstore, I develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to establish brand presence, drive engagement, and increase sales.
